“We wanted to harness and leverage the local sunny weather, so every exposed roof is covered with panels, coils, and shingles. Our slanted roof’s PVSC shingles generate twice as much electricity as we actually consume. We harvest the power into our five batteries as well as my car, then we start kicking back the city meter. The heated water from the panels and coils on the other roof dumps into the pool after weaving through the ground floor’s heating system, which naturally reduces our use of gas heaters.”
