Art Basel: Kulapat Yantrasast named a 2026 Art Basel Awards Medalist

Art Basel announces Kulapat Yantrasast as one of 33 Medalists in the second edition of the Art Basel Awards, recognized in the Cross-Disciplinary Creator category alongside Laurie Anderson and Sumayya Vally.

In its citation, Art Basel describes Kulapat as Founder and Creative Director of WHY Architecture, an interdisciplinary practice working at the intersection of art, architecture, landscape, objects, and cultural life.

The Awards recognize practices with lasting influence — those that shape cultural narratives across borders, disciplines, and industries. Cross-Disciplinary Creator is one of nine categories spanning artists, curators, patrons, institutions, and media voices.

Medalists will be honored at Art Basel’s flagship fair in Basel, Switzerland (15-21 June 2026). Gold Awardees will be announced at Art Basel Miami Beach in December.
