Dezeen: Kulapat Yantrasast to explore Uzbek craft traditions in Milan exhibition
Dezeen previews When Apricots Blossom — the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation’s debut at Milan Design Week 2026, curated by Kulapat Yantrasast and staged at Palazzo Citterio. The exhibition pulls together Uzbekistan’s living craft traditions — from the deconstructed yurt to the bread tray, from suzani textile to the disappearing waters of the Aral Sea — and reframes them through a contemporary architectural lens. For Kulapat, the curatorial through-line is design and craft as tools for landscape regeneration in the face of ecological crisis.
